Canning 101

Join Jennifer Jones, with University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, for a 2-hour class on canning basics at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach. Is your garden overflowing with beautiful produce? Do you love to shop at orchards for sweet, juicy fruit and farmers markets piled high with seasonal vegetables? If practiced properly canning is an important, safe method of food preservation to save summer's & autumn's bounty. This introductory training will review the basic steps of home food preservation by water bath canning. Ages 18+. Registration is limited. Preference will be given to registered patrons, walk-in's taken ONLY if space allows.
