DESCRIPTION:Love your neighbor but love your privacy. Discover GREEN privacy fences to bring beauty to your backyard living space at Inland Bays Garden Center. Learn to use native plants\, shrubs\, grasses and trees to provide natural screening to your property areas without having to resort to traditional fencing. The workshop will focus on the importance of plant selection to meet your screening goals in conjunction with the unique characteristics of your landscape. You'll learn how to be your own privacy fence landscape\, designer.\n\nTopics discussed will include site considerations\, design/layout considerations and a tour of the nursery to discuss the many options available.\n\nA tour of the nursery will be included and with Scott's help you can begin to build your "green screen." Participants will receive a 10% discount on plants they purchase the day of the class.\n\nScott has a BS in Urban Forestry from The Pennsylvania State University. His work experience includes working in the tree care industry as an ISA Certified Arborist\, construction administrator with a natural resources preservation company\, manager of a commercial landscape maintenance company\, and as the grounds and plant health care specialist at Mt Cuba Center. Recently\, Scott became a Certified Nursery Professional Landscape Specialist with certification from the Delaware Nursery and Landscape Association.
