\n\nMichele Walfred recently retired as a Communications Specialist at the University of Delaware&rsquo\;s Carvel Research and Education Center in Georgetown. In 2021\, she became a Delaware Master Gardener\, combining her love of gardening with her passion for education and community outreach. \;Michele lives in Lewes\, Delaware\, where she and her husband maintain a Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat on their three-quarter-acre property. Their garden supports birds\, pollinators\, and other wildlife\, reflecting Michele&rsquo\;s deep commitment to environmentally friendly gardening.
