SUMMARY:International Student Orientation Program (ISOP) Open House
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join the newly branded International Student Outreach Program (ISOP) of the Quiet Resorts for an Open House.  Any person\, organization or business\, who hires\, hosts or houses an international student\, is invited to attend.  The objective of the event is to connect all entities who employ and enhance the cultural experience of the J-1 Visa Students and brainstorm ideas to grow the 2016 outreach program.  The International Student Outreach Program (ISOP) of the Quiet Resorts is the re-launch of a long-standing program to assist international students who visit the area to ensure they have a safe\, positive experience in the Quiet Resorts. \n\n\n\n Previously known as the Quiet Resorts International Student Committee (QRIS)\, sponsored by ResortQuest and the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce\, this program offers comprehensive orientation classes to the visiting J-1 students that range from opening a bank account to accessing emergency services.  A bike safety course\, led by Anthony Agilio\, Supervisor in the Local Systems Planning Section for the Department of Delaware Transportation and long-time resident\, Bob Parsons\, teaches the rules of the road and takes the students on a ride to test their skills.  In addition to the orientation\, St. Martha's Episcopal Church has a welcome party to connect the students with each other and the local community.\n\n \n\nLong-time businesses and organizations that serve the international students or those who would like to be part of this unique experience are encouraged to attend the ISOP Open House on Tuesday\, March 1st at the South Coastal Library beginning at 4:30 p.m.   Light refreshments will be served. The South Coastal Library is located at 43 Kent Avenue in Bethany Beach.
