SUMMARY:May 2025 Business After Hours at the Freeman Arts Pavilion: Mixer with DCF Next Gen South + Georgetown & Millsboro Chambers
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce for the May Business After Hours at Freeman Arts Pavilion on Tuesday\, May 20th\, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM! This event will be a mixer with Delaware Community Foundation - Next Gen South\, the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce\, and the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. As our second to last Business After Hours before we pause for the summer season\, this is a great opportunity to network with local business representatives in and outside of the Quiet Resorts region while enjoying refreshments from the Pavilion Canteen! \n\n\n\nThe BFACC will also be presenting checks to the beneficiaries of the 2025 Ocean to Bay Bike Tour at this event\, so all Bike Tour sponsors\, volunteers\, and beneficiaries are encouraged to join us and help celebrate the event's community impact. Beneficiaries of the 2025 Ocean to Bay Bike Tour & Coastal Cruise include the DE Center for the Inland Bays\, Believe in Tomorrow\, Contractors for a Cause\, the Justin W. Jennings Foundation\, and local first responders.\n\n\n\nTo register for this event\, please use this link\, which will take you to a ticketing page on the Freeman Arts Pavilion website. We are helping them test a new registration system\, so please be sure to RSVP for the event through that link if you plan to attend!\n\n\n\nDelaware Community Foundation (DCF) Next Gen South\n\nDCF Next Gen South is a philanthropic organization that was created and is directed by young professionals in Kent and Sussex Counties. With a focus on charitable giving\, young professional networking and professional development\, and giving young professionals valuable nonprofit Board experience and insight into the grant writing and approval process\, we encourage young professionals in the BFACC network to come and learn more about Next Gen South and how you can get involved! \n\n\n\nNext Gen South utilizes many of the Delaware Community Foundation's resources\, but members have established their own structure to raise funds and support the community. Next Gen South's charitable fund was organized in 2012 and awarded its first round of grants in 2013. Since its inception\, Next Gen South has awarded more than $100\,000 in support of initiatives that address underlying social challenges faced by the most vulnerable Delawareans in Kent and Sussex Counties. The focus of the organization changes periodically based on the needs of the communities they serve. Next Gen South is currently raising money to support programs for addiction treatment\, family services\, emergency housing\, and homelessness prevention. The merits and execution of each program will determine grant selection.
