DESCRIPTION:Did you know that Sussex County Delaware is the birthplace of the broiler chicken industry? Our area produces more chickens than any other county in the United States and is home to the headquarters of three (3) of the Top Twenty (20) broiler producing companies in the country.\n\n\n\nJoin us on Thursday\, May 4th as Cathy Bassett\, the Director of Public Relations Director for the Allen Harim Company\, will discuss trends and dispell myths in the industry while discussing the impact of the poultry on the the local economy. Learn more about their future growth and how they are building a partnership\, not only with the Chamber\, but with the business community.\n\n\n\nAbout Cathy ... She assumed in January of 2017. In her role she oversees all community\, media and government relations for the poultry company\, which is based in Seaford.  Prior to joining Allen Harim\, Cathy served as President of her own public relations and marketing company\, CMBassett Consulting\, LLC\, in Salisbury\, MD. She served a variety of clients large and small including Delmarva Power\, Maryland Capital Enterprises\, the Delmarva Zoological Society\, and the Ocean City Air Show\, among others. \n\n\n\nThis month\, join us at The Cottage Cafe.
