2023 Ocean to Bay Bike Tour - Volunteer Registration

Calling all volunteers!

Over 2,000 cyclists of all levels will be participating in the Ocean to Bay Bike Tour through Sussex County's beautiful beaches, bays, and beyond April 28-29! This award-winning event, presented by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, offers cyclists a 10-,30-, 50-, metric century, and century ride on flat terrain.

This event could not be successful without the assistance and care of an incredible team of volunteers. We need your help! Please see below for a comprehensive list of all volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Tasks

Packet Assembly:

Help assemble informational packets and swag bag items for all cyclists.

Location: Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, 36913 Coastal Hwy., Fenwick Island

Dates: Wednesday, April 12- Tuesday, April 25

Rest Stop Supply Packing:

Help load U-Haul trucks with rest stop supplies.
Location: Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, 36913 Coastal Hwy., Fenwick Island

Date: Thursday, April 27

Set up: Packet Pick-Up:

Assist with setting up the packet pick-up tent and station. Help organize/pull team registrations.
Location: Grassy Area by Christian Conference Center, Garfield Pkwy., Bethany Beach
Date: Friday, April 28

Event Check-in & Packet Pick-up:

Help check in 2,500+ cyclists. Cyclists will be checking in at the Bike Tour Expo

Dates: Friday, April 28 - Saturday, April 29

Post-Party Volunteers:

Assist in set-up and teardown for post-party.

Finish Line Cheerleader
Greet and cheer on cyclists as they cross the finish line on Saturday!
Location: Driveway near Christian Conference Center
Date: Saturday, April 29

Registration Instructions

Select the green "Register Now" button at the top of the event page
Select "Click here to continue your registration" under the "Not a member" section on the right hand side of the screen
Enter your name and contact information in appropriate fields.
Select a time slot under the volunteer assignment you would like to do. Note* if you are interested in volunteering for more than one time slot, you will need to fill out a registration for each time slot.
You will receive a confirmation email that confirms your volunteer registration and includes a list of all volunteer captains. You will receive communication of more details for your assignment closer to the date you will be helping
