Event Description:
Join the Historic Village in Ocean View as we recreate a half-day event celebrating the original Delmarva Chicken Festival, a popular local tradition for decades. • White Elephant table where various chicken items will be sold (CASH-only).
  • DJ Brian K. Hall emceeing and providing music.
  • “Chicken Pickin” contest hosted by Zach Evans from Mountaire Farms. Cash prizes will be awarded.
  • Children’s Crafts to include making a chicken visor for a “Biddie Parade” around the park.
  • “Color a Chicken” session hosted Dr. Joanne Guilfoil, a local artist, author, and chicken aficionado.
  • Delaware Secretary of Agriculture Michael Scuse will join us during the Egg Toss.

  • Perdue Farms Touch-A-Truck.
  • Mobile Ag Lab developed by the Delaware Farm Bureau.
  • Sales by Slower Lower Delaware T-Shirt Company.
