Children's Historic Adventures in Reading
Join the Lewes Historical Society on Friday, August 27, for Historic Adventures in Reading, taking place virtually and outdoors at the Lewes Historical Society's Museum gardens. Young readers ages twelve and under can listen and follow along to excerpts of literary classics as they are read aloud. Parents and guardians are welcome.
Children will learn of the exploits of Captains Nemo, Ahab, and Silver, among others. Designed to educate and entertain, a classic novel or selection of poetry will be shared from a period of America's history. What was it like for young readers to have read these same stories and poems decades ago? To register, please click here.
