Tai Chi for Health & Balance: A 5 Week Series at the South Coastal Library
Join Marianne Walch, Master Trainer with the Tai Chi for Health Institute, and Co-Director of the Silver Lotus Training Institute in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for a free beginner's level Tai Chi series.
Learn about Tai Chi as a mind-body exercise consisting of fluid, slow, gentle movements. Plus, it’s easy to learn and free through the library!
In this 5-week series we will practice a gentle Tai Chi set that focuses on fall prevention and relieving arthritis pain. But it is appropriate and fun for anyone! All parts of the practice can be done either standing or seated. Please wear comfortable, loose comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes suitable for exercise to the class. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver by the instructor.
Participants should be able to attend all 5 sessions as they build off one another. Registration is required, and you only need to register once for the entire series. You may register in-person, over the phone, or online below.
This library program is designed to supplement library materials and services that promote community-based health literacy and to foster fitness and healthy habits within individuals.
