The Art of Poetry
Discover the finer points of writing poems in response to art. Led by Tara Elliott, the president of the Eastern Shore Writers Association and chair of the Bay-to-Ocean Writer's Conference, workshop participants will be provided an inspirational nature image in celebration of Earth Day and create an ekphrastic poem. According to the Poetry Foundation, an ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art. All workshop materials will be provided. This event takes place outdoors with social distancing. Participants must bring their own chair and wear a mask.
