Join the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce & local restaurants on Sunday, January 15th, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Bethany Beach Ocean Suites for the Fire & Ice "Lights, Camera, Action!" Drink Competition. Local bartenders will compete head-to-head to have their movie-themed drink crowned the "Lights, Camera, Action!" Fire & Ice 2023 winner!

All movie-themed drinks will be created in collaboration with Sagamore Spirit and Steel Blu Vodka. Patrons will be able to vote for their favorite drink to determine the People's Choice Award Winner! Tickets will be available until Wednesday, January 11th.

*Must be 21 or over to participate. All participants must bring their ID's

Participating bartenders will compete for an opportunity to be crowned the Fire & Ice "Lights, Camera, Action!" Drink Competition winner. The winning bartender will be awarded a cash prize and plaque.

Beneficiary:
Ticket sales will benefit Beebe Healthcare's South Coastal Emergency Department & Cancer Center and local area restaurants. Beebe Healthcare is a community-based, not-for-profit center with a vision to be a "healthcare system of choice for all people."

Celebrity Judging Panel:
A panel of celebrity judges will participate in the Fire & Ice "Lights, Camera, Action!" Drink Competition. Drinks will be judged based on taste, presentation, and movie theme.

Participating Judges:

Kami Banks Kane - Banks Wines & Spirits
- Kami owner of Banks Wines & Spirits, is responsible for ordering, special events, deliveries, and invoicing. Her favorite part of Banks Wines & Spirits is helping customers with wine selections. Her favorite drink of choice is wine, specifically rose and sparkling wines but she always loves a good cocktail too. When she isn't at Banks, she is active in the local community supporting organizations such as Meals on Wheels, Delaware Hospice, and Beebe Healthcare.
Kathy McDonald - La Vida Hospitality
- Kathy McDonald is the Director of Development at La Vida Hospitality. She loves making lifelong memories for all the couples who work with her to plan their special event. Prior to starting with La Vida, with a two-year break in Key West, Kathy worked as Director of Operations for a large restaurant group in Washington, D.C., and Delaware. Kathy enjoys working with different non-profit groups, firmly believes in conscious capitalism, and that giving and community involvement are crucial to a successful business plan. When not working, she loves to travel, eats at local restaurants, and studies drawing.
Dr. David Tam - Beebe Healthcare
- Dr. Tam serves as the President and CEO at Beebe Healthcare. He has an extensive resume working in the civilian healthcare sector. In addition to his contributions to healthcare, he is a veteran who served for 24 years and retired as a Captain in the Navy.
Susan Mutz - Coastal Point Newspaper
- Susan works as the Advertising Manager at Coastal Point Newspaper for over 14 years. She loves working for a community paper that allows her to get to know local business owners. Whether it's being at the beach, on the boat, or near the pool, Susan and her family love being near the water. She is a mother of two boys, ages 10 & 12, and a sweet little rescue dog named Sadie and can usually be found cheering on the sidelines of a football or baseball game or being a taxi between school, scouts, or any of their activities.
Madeleine Overturf - WRDE-TV
- Madeleine Overturf is an Anchor and Managing Editor at WRDE-TV. Maddie anchors the evening newscast and performs managerial responsibilities, such as helping find and assign stories, approving scripts, and making content decisions. She also serves as the Regional Vice President for the Capital Emmys Board of Governors. A graduate of New York University with a B.F.A. in Acting and Broadcast Journalism, she is also a certified cycle and yoga instructor. When not on the air, she enjoys traveling, reading, and going to the beach.
