Gallery One Bus Trip- Henri Rousseau: A Painter’s Secret at the Barnes in Philadelphia
Sign up now to join Gallery One's bus trip to the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia on February 19th to see a spectacular exhibit of Henri Rousseau's work which will not be shown elsewhere in the United States. Barnes has the world's largest collection of painting by the French Post-impressionist Henri Rousseau, known for his lush, tigerhaunted tropical scenes. The Exhibition features 60 works from the untrained artist who overcame the ridicule of critics and continued to paint, eventually to rise from the mockery and become a very inspirational leader to artists that followed him. This naive, primitive style of painting with no sense of scale and disregard for conventional proportion and perspective defined his distinctive style and elevated him from an artistic outcast to an icon.
The cost of the trip is $125.00, (which includes museum entrance tickets.) due at the time of your reservation. Space is limited. Place your reservation by contacting Gallery One at (302) 537-5055, every day 10am - 4pm.
