A disaster can happen at any time! We all understand that Business Resiliency is of critical importance to the long-term success of a business and the community at-large. Statistics indicate that 25% of small businesses never reopen following a major disaster.
The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce and Delaware Sea Grant invite you to a discussion on "Building a Resilient Business." This program will discuss the topic of natural hazards, including storms and flooding, and how businesses can take steps now to build their resiliency and minimize business disruption. The talk will cover current and future projections of risk in southern Delaware, potential economic impacts, and strategies for mitigating risk and fostering disaster recovery and business continuity. Sea Grant is a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and University of Delaware program that uses science to support a sustainable economy and environment. Danielle Swallow, Coastal Hazards Specialist, and Ed Lewandowski, Coastal Communities Development Specialist have decades of experience providing technical assistance and outreach to communities
