National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) is held on April 16 each year to educate healthcare providers and the public about the importance of advance care planning for medical decisions.

Advance care planning protects your right to determine the care you receive including appointing a POA, someone you trust to make healthcare decisions on your behalf.
