Steal Away: Stories of Black Resilience and Joy with Freeman Foundation
Join the Freeman Foundation for Steal Away: Stories of Black Resilience and Joy on Saturday, February 22 at 3pm.
You dash up to Grandma’s attic to grab blankets for the winter and find yourself whisked off on a journey through time. Flooded with memories, stories, and forgotten songs, you are reminded of ‘how we made it over.’ In celebration of Black History Month, this powerful journey honors the resilience, creativity, and unshakeable joy that define the Black experience. Come enjoy the captivating storytelling of Kim “Metaphor” Graham, accompanied by the jazzy sounds of the Jonathan Whitney Trio. This show is guaranteed to bring you on a journey powered by resilience and flush with joy!
This event will take place at the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, located at the main entrance of the Bayside community. Tickets are $20 plus fees.
