The Straight Eights Car Club's annual "Beach Ball" gathering is being held in Bethany Beach this year.

Club members will be displaying a diverse array of about 65 cars, ranging from '50s (and possibly earlier) vintage land yachts, through current, modern tech examples. This group focuses primarily on original and restored cars, some of which may be considered "underdogs" in the collector car hobby, which means that some of the more under-appreciated, and therefore more rarely seen (nowadays) older cars will be present.

The show is on Saturday, September 22, from 11AM until 3PM (cars start to arrive at 9AM) on the westbound side of Garfield Parkway, between Atlantic and Pennsylvania Avenues, which will be closed to through-traffic.

The public is invited to view the cars and interact with their owners. It affords an opportunity for some to reminisce, and for some others from younger generations to see things for perhaps the first time.
