There’s no better place to celebrate the start of summer than soaking up the sun at Big Chill Beach Club in Bethany Beach during their Summer Solstice Celebration! Warm beach days, cool summer nights, and endless adventures await. From Monday, June 15th to Sunday, June 21st, they are kicking off the official start of summer with live music, family-friendly fun, movies, and more.

Schedule of Events:

Monday, June 15: Beach Clean-Up
Join Big Chill and Delaware State Parks from 10–11am and give back to the beach everyone loves. Help clean up and receive a 15% off coupon for your post-clean-up meal at the Beach Club.

Tuesday, June 16: Kids Movie Night 

Grab your lawn chairs & blankets and come to the sand pit at 8:30 pm for a screening of Surfs Up! Entry is FREE to all ages. Ice cream, candy, and snacks will be available for purchase from the Retail Shack.

Wednesday, June 17: Family Fun Night
An evening full of fun for the whole family from 5-8pm. Enjoy a meet and greet with your kids’ favorite Disney Princess, fun games, music, and an epic bubble zone. Capture all the memories of the night at a digital photo booth from 6-8pm, then treat yourself to your favorite snacks, ice cream, and fireside s’mores by the fire pit. It’s the perfect family night filled with fun, laughter, and sweet summer memories!

Thursday, June 18: Sunset Sessions with Electric Velvet Duo
Catch the vibe in the Sunset Lounge from 6–9 PM with live music from Electric Velvet Duo. 

Friday, June 19: Silent Disco Dance Party 

Enjoy live music by the Nick Kashmanian Band in the lounge from 6-9pm and dance the night away at the silent disco in the sandpit from 7-10pm! Grab a free set of headphones and choose between two curated playlists to dance the night away.

Saturday, June 20th: International Surfing Day

Celebrate International Surfing Day with an evening of live music, beach vibes, and community support at Big Chill's International Surfing Day Dine-to-Donate benefiting the Surfgimp Foundation! Kick off the night in the lounge with live music from Mister VCR from 4–7pm while enjoying delicious food, drinks, and dancing.

From 5–9 pm 15% of all sales will be donated to the Surfgimp Foundation. Then keep the night going by grabbing your lawn chairs and blankets and heading to the sand pit at 8:30 pm for a special screening of Endless Summer under the stars.

Sunday, June 21st: Summer Solstice Luau Party

Celebrate the longest day of the year and the official first day of summer with an evening full of beachside fun! Enjoy live music from Soulchase in the Sunset Lounge from 4–7pm, then keep the celebration going with a special hula and fire dance performance by Hawaiian Entertainment at 7:30pm in the Sunset Lounge.
