Winter Lecture Series - The Science of Oysters: A Shucking Good Time
Aw, shucks! We're kicking off our new Winter Lecture Series on November 17th with The Science of Oysters: A Shucking Good Time! Join us to learn what makes these bivalves so beneficial, perfect your shucking technique with a culinary demo, and slurp some tasty local oysters! Dr. Ed Hale, Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware's School for Marine Science and Policy, will share with us the unique biology of oysters and their critical contributions to our ecosystem. Afterward, Asher Truitt, Assistant Chef at Harbour at Canal Square, will highlight the culinary importance of the oyster to our local area with a shucking demo. This FREE event includes complimentary oysters and beverages, but seating is limited- so pre-register today! http://ow.ly/mzpf50LgYxa There are two options for attending this hybrid event: in-person at the Center's office or virtually via Zoom.
