ServSafe Food Handling and Safety Program
REGISTER NOW FOR SERVSAFE CLASS SET FOR MARCH 5 IN GEORGETOWN
Do you work, or employ people who work, in the food industry? Did you know food handlers in Delaware are required to be ServSafe certified? Register now for the March 5 food handling and safety program and obtain a five-year national certification.
The ServSafe food handler program is a complete solution that delivers consistent food safety training to employees. The program covers five key areas:
• Basic Food Safety;
• Personal Hygiene;
• Cross-contamination and Allergens;
• Time and Temperature; and
• Cleaning and Sanitation.
The program teaches basic food safety practices for preparing and serving food.
The final part of this course is an examination that will take place that day. Those who successfully pass will earn their five-year national certificate. It is being co-sponsored by the Delaware SBDC and Delaware State University/Center for Enterprise Development.
